Nikon Full-Frame Mirrorless

The next generation mirrorless camera from Nikon is here... nearly!

In an exciting announcement, Nikon has teased us with the news of a new full-frame format mirrorless camera on the horizon, which includes a new mount and new Nikkor lenses.

Nikon is using their vast technical knowledge and experience, which they have been acquiring for over a century now, to develop the next generation of mirrorless camera. By utilising the manufacturing experience that has made their Digital-SLR cameras such a success throughout the years, Nikon is planning to deliver this same level of optical performance to the mirrorless world.

Those that are already invested in the Nikon F-Mount system will be pleased to hear that a new mount adapter is also being developed, which will allow them to make use of their existing Nikkor lenses on this new body.

As it is Nikon’s goal to remain a leader of optical performance for coming generations, the company will continue to develop this new mirrorless camera alongside their popular digital-SLR cameras, so we can continue to reap the benefits of both systems.

Keep watching HERE for more exciting developments relating to this announcement.

Full pricing and specifications to be announced in Tokyo on August 23, 2018 at 12am ET (9pm PT)

Exciting to here this. I am a dedicated Nikon user with a D800 and Nikon's best f2.8 lenses and the new f1.4 portrait lens, I hope this mirrorless camera will compete well with the Sony alpha cameras. Looking forward to further news.
