If you’ve hired a camera for the weekend and decide that you can’t live without it, we will refund you the partial hire cost* to put towards purchasing the camera.
*Cost valued at 2 days of the hire fees. The customer must hire equipment for more than 48 hrs to be applicable.
Identification, medicare card and security deposit are required to complete the hire.

What are the Terms and Conditions?
Ted's Camera Hire - Terms and Conditions
In addition to the detailed terms and conditions contained within the rental contract, the following prerequisites apply when renting equipment through Ted's Camera Hire.- Hirer must be over 18 years of age.
- Hirer must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Student or short term visa holders are NOT eligible.
- Customers must provide drivers licence or current passport AND current Medicare card as identification.
- Ted's Camera Stores reserve the right to require additional identification prior to hire approval.
- Full payment of the rental amount and all applicable security deposits are required prior to equipment being released to the hirer.
- Ted's Camera Stores reserve the right to refuse rental to any customer at any time.
What do I do if want gear that isn't listed?
Ted's will do our best to source the right equipment for you needs. Please make and enquiry HERE.Can I use Ted's Camera Hire to "Try before I buy"?
Absolutely! At Ted's we want you to be 100% sure your camera is right for you.That's why if after the hire period, you would like to purchase the same item, two days of your rental fees will be refunded as a store credit towards purchasing the new equipment.What is the minimum and maximum hire timeframe?
There is no maximum rental period. Equipment is charged out at a daily rate and discounts apply for weekly or monthly rentals.How does the security deposit work?
Upon pickup of the equipment, a contract will be signed. You will be asked to provide your Australian driver's license or passport and a Medicare card. A security deposit will be held against your account. Once the items are returned in good, working order, your security deposit will be refunded to your account. Failure to comply with the Terms and Conditions will result in the security deposit being forfeit.What happens if the gear I hire gets damaged?
If this camera is repairable, your security deposit will be forfeited. If this camera is beyond repair, you will be charged the full replacement value of the camera.Can I hire equipment, if I am not an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident?
No. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to hire equipment from Ted’s Camera Hire.
