Stage 4 Restrictions In Victoria

Today the Victorian Government announced further Stage 4 Restrictions to businesses in greater Melbourne.

As required under the new restrictions, all Ted's Melbourne retail outlets will remain closed for the next six weeks.
We will monitor government directives during the shutdown period so we can advise staff and customers alike as to when our stores will be permitted to reopen.

We will be publishing any store opening notifications via social media and through our ClubTed email database HERE.

Under the new rules, we are permitted to provide online order fulfilment, and we will continue to provide contactless service for all our online orders, trade-ins and online printing at www.teds.com.au

Please note, due to these restrictions there may be delays to online order deliveries, and we thank you in advance for your patience.

As call centres are not permitted to open under the new rules, our phone support will be limited.

If you have query regarding an existing order, we ask that you utilise our LiveChat or email support HERE.

We continue to wish all of Victoria and Australia a safe and healthy passage through the coming weeks.

All 19 stores will re-open on June 1st 2020.

Back in 1970, Ted opened the doors of his first camera shop. Over the past 50 years we've seen a lot of technology come and go. But one thing has remained constant, Ted’s commitment to bring you the best cameras and accessories from around the world, the best range possible and the best service and knowledge.

On March 28th 2020, Ted's made the difficult decision to temporarily close all of our 19 stores nationwide. While this was a challenging decision to make, we felt it was essential that we do our part to protect our staff, our customers, and “flatten the curve”.

While our physical stores were closed, we continued to provide industry-leading service, with contactless delivery, LiveChat and email support through our website www.teds.com.au

Two months later, and we're now pleased to announce that all 19 stores will re-open on June 1st 2020.

As always the health and safety of our staff and customers is paramount, which is why we will be implementing safety measures in accordance with all government and state laws. This will include practising safe-distancing, limiting the total number of customers in the store, providing free hand sanitizer dispensers, as well as moving to "cashless" payments.

All the family at Ted's would like to thank you for your continued support through these difficult times, and we look forward to serving your photographic needs online and instore for the years to come.

A Message To Our Customers

On March 28th 2020, we made the difficult decision to temporarily close all of our stores nationwide. While this was a challenging decision to make, we felt it was essential that we do our part to protect our staff, our customers, and “flatten the curve”.

As a country, we’ve all risen to the occasion and seen huge improvements across the nation. We are constantly monitoring the situation in each state and plan to reopen our stores when the conditions are right, and we can ensure the safety of staff and customers.

We will be publishing any store opening notifications via social media and through our ClubTed email database HERE.

While our physical stores are closed, we continue to provide industry-leading service, with contactless delivery, LiveChat and email support through our website www.teds.com.au

For all of you looking for photographic inspiration during these difficult times, we’ve been working overtime to share our expertise through a huge range of blogs, videos and product guides. That can all be accessed through our websiteFacebookInstagram and Youtube channels.

We will continue to assess the situation in the weeks ahead and look forward to when we can open our doors again. Until then, from all the team at Ted’s, we hope you and your families stay safe and healthy and we look forward to welcoming you back in-store when we re-open.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Ted’s Cameras remains committed to delivering your digital camera and photography accessory orders as quickly and safely as possible.

Below, we’ve rounded up the answers to the most frequently asked questions about our operations during these uncertain times. Our team is closely monitoring the situation, and will continue to update this page as things evolve.

Is Ted’s Cameras still open?

As of 28 March 2020, all 19 Ted’s Cameras stores across Australia are temporarily closed. The health and safety of our employees, customers, and the broader community is our primary focus, and we strongly encourage everyone to practice social distancing where possible.

Our team is monitoring government directives and will advise staff and customers when our stores will be permitted to reopen.

Is Ted’s Cameras online store open for business?

Yes, our online store is still trading as usual. All online orders are processed and dispatched from our warehouses, where our staff are committed to safe delivery practices and following social distancing rules.

Our warehouse team maintains the strictest safety and hygiene measures, including regular hand washing, to ensure that your package is safe for you to receive and handle. Orders are delivered through Australia Post, who adhere to safe delivery practices.

Unfortunately, due to the temporary closure of our stores, we are currently unable to process “Click & Collect” orders.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Due to limited supplier stock and Australia Post delays, our regular shipping times have been extended slightly to 5-7 working days.

Is online support available?

Yes. Our Sales and Support team are working remotely and can answer all your questions via email or LiveChat. We are also providing indoor photography tips and tutorials on our blog to help you keep busy while social distancing.
