A zoom lens for all subjects, near or far
Building on the foundations of the successful 18-270mm zoom lens, Tamron have raised the stakes again with this wonderful, new all in one zoom, the 16-300mm VC PZD. A little wider and longer than the previously mentioned lens, the 16-300mm is even more versatile, well-suited to limitless situations and a dream come true for travellers and one-lens shooters.
In 35mm or full frame terms this handy zoom lens offers an equivalent zoom range of 24.8-465mm and throughout this range you will benefit from Tamron’s highly effective Vibration Compensation stabiliser. Even at the longer end of the zoom when bumps and movement are magnified and in dark conditions, you will be able to capture blur-free, sharp pictures with the Tamron 16-300mm. Also a selling point is the excellent PZD AF motor, which is suitable and beneficial for all users, from the casual happy snapper, through to the more adventurous enthusiast who will be exploring all imaging avenues, including high-speed and video shooting. This motor is deserving of applause, able to focus swiftly and accurately at a volume level that is barely audible.
When taking into account the flexibility and usability of the 16-300mm lens from Tamron, it is quite surprising how lightweight and compact it is. You will be able to shoot with this lens for extended periods without any strain on your neck and thanks to the lens performing the tasks of several other specialty lenses, your kit bag will be lighter than ever. In an excellent feat of engineering, Tamron have managed to design such a lightweight lens without sacrificing the build quality, with the lens being moisture resistant and able to withstand the general rigors of day to day use with no problems.
