Probably the best value for money lens you can own

This is an excellent lens. Its lightweight, produces beautifully sharp images and is fast enough to extend the available light before you need to resort to a flash. The relatively wide aperture (compared with a zoom lens) produces a nice bokeh and at around $180 it makes no sense not to have one. If I can only take one lens with me when I travel this is the one I chose.
