This exciting new mirrorless camera, the Fujifilm X-H2, joins the X-H2S as the flagship model in Fujifilm's X-series range. The X-H2 sets itself apart from other models in the range with its brand-new 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS image sensor, which it pairs with an X-Processor 5 to deliver unprecedented levels of image quality, from stills to video, with 8K30p video resolution also on offer. With this model being the first APS-C format model ever released to offer 8K30p Apple ProRes recording internally, Fujifilm caters to professional photographers of all types, whether their main interest is the still or moving image.

Stabilisation & AF Performance

To make the most of this high-resolution imaging performance, the X-H2 features in-body image stabilisation, which is capable of up to 7-stops of stabilisation. Handheld still and video recording is made possible by this impressive stabilisation system, even in dim lighting conditions. A fast and accurate AF system is also available in this camera, with highlights being an increased amount of phase-detection AF points and improved tracking performance, which makes the camera suitable for focusing on a greater variety of subjects. Focussing during video recording has also been improved, thanks to a new movie AF algorithm, manual focus assist, and focus peaking all on offer.

Body design features

Featuring the same high-quality design as the Fujifilm X-H2S, the X-H2 includes a rugged weather-sealed design, with 79 weather-sealed points providing dust and moisture resistance. This camera can be used with confidence both in the studio and on-location. To frame and compose your photographic work, this camera includes both a 3-inch tilting and touch-sensitive LCD screen and a high-resolution EVF screen. The EVF includes a fast refresh rate and improved parallax and distortion control for a pleasing user experience.

The Fujifilm X-H2 includes dual memory card slots for managing for high-quality photo and video files, with CF Express Type B Cards recommended for exploring the full video potential of the camera. Other highlights of this impressive mirrorless body include a top LCD panel which offers a quick readout of essential shooting information, which means a quick glance is all you need before firing off your next shot.

Professional Functionality

Perfect for capturing fast-paced subjects, the Fujifilm X-H2 features an improved maximum shutter speed of a blistering 1/180,000 of a second when using the electronic shutter. In order to harness these top speeds, users can enjoy the broad ISO range which starts at a very low ISO 125. The X-H2 offers a speedy continuous shooting rate of 20 frames per second when using the electronic shutter, although this is with slight cropping; 15FPS continuous shooting is available at full resolution when using the mechanical shutter. The Fujifilm X-H2 is the first X-Series model to include Pixel Shift multi-function, which utilises the camera IBIS mechanism to capture 20 images which can then be combined using Pixel Shift Combiner software. This results in a super high-resolution image file that can be put to best use by professional and commercial photographers.
