All cameras purchased through Ted’s and other reputable retailers are sold with a manufacturer’s warranty that typically lasts between 1 and 5 years. The exact scope of coverage varies slightly between brands, but Nikon, Sony, and Canon DSLR camera warranty policies - as well as those of other major brands - cover technical support, firmware upgrades, and some repairs for the specified periods.
Although manufacturer’s warranty policies offer a good baseline of protection, they do have limitations. Damage caused by accidents, electrical faults, moisture, and normal wear and tear, leaking batteries, and damage sustained during shipping and transit are all common warranty exclusions.
Notably, manufacturer’s warranty will be void if cameras are not purchased through authorised retailers - yet another reason to avoid Grey Market Stock!
