Sony credits its exceptional picture quality, and the attractive appearance of out of focus areas, to their usage of groundbreaking STF technology, as well as the utilisation of Aspherical and ED elements in the optical design. The 100mm focal length is excellent for portraits, providing a tighter crop without you having to physically move too close to a subject, while the Optical SteadyShot stabiliser keeps you snapping sharp pictures in low-light scenarios.
