Offering a wide equivalent zoom range of 14-28mm, this Olympus 7-14mm f2.8 Pro lens is ideal for those situations when you wish to fit the entire scene before you within the frame. Whether standing before a majestic mountain view, or inside an atmospheric cathedral, this lens has a wide enough angle of view to help you capture it all and being a zoom lens, your compositions can always be tweaked to suit your needs.

Ready to take on any lighting obstacleLighting conditions are not always perfect for photography, so thankfully this Olympus Pro lens has a constant f2.8 maximum aperture to keep you shooting regardless. This large aperture opening ensures you will always be prepared to tackle the darkest of shooting conditions, enabling you to take sharper images throughout the zoom range. The lens has been constructed with a rounded 7-blade aperture diaphragm, so any out-of-focus areas in the background will be rendered with a wonderfully natural appearance.

Movie and Stills compatible AutofocusWe have already covered how useful this lens is as a still photography lens, but it is also very useful for recording HD video, which many Micro Four Thirds cameras are now offering. The Olympus 7-14mm lens includes an MSC focus motor which is smooth, fast and quiet enough to achieve autofocus accurately without being noticed, either by your subjects, or the microphone of your camera. This AF motor does exactly what it is supposed to do; achieve its goal without ever being detected.

An optical construction that you would expect from OlympusAs is expected from a M.Zuiko Olympus lens, the 7-14mm f2.8 Pro produces images of the finest quality, due to a number of optical techniques. The lens construction includes 3 Aspherical lens elements, as well as ED and High-refractive Index elements, all of which go towards reducing various aberrations and imperfections, and subsequently aiding in the production of beautifully detailed photographs. In conjunction with this, Olympus have utilised their ‘ZERO’ coating which controls lens flare and ghosting, resulting in an excellent level of colour reproduction and contrast. No stone has been left unturned when preparing this lens for the world of shooting.
