Where traditional macro lenses use mid-to-long focal lengths that isolate subjects from their surroundings, this lens lets you get incredibly close to your subject while still capturing the full context of its environment in the background. The result is images that are both visually striking and deeply informative.

With a 110° angle of view and 1:1 maximum magnification, you can focus right up to your subject — letting it dominate the foreground — while the wide perspective reveals the habitat, landscape, or environment behind it. No extension tubes required. This makes it an exceptional choice for nature, insect, botanical, and environmental macro photography.

The lens doubles as a superb ultra-wide prime for full-frame sensors, with infinity focus capability. A shift mechanism at the rear of the lens provides up to ±6mm of adjustment for APS-C cameras — ideal for correcting perspective distortion in architectural, interior, and landscape photography without the need for post-production correction.
