The Sony ZV-1 is similar in appearance and performance to the hugely popular RX-100 range from the brand, but this new exciting model is more suited to content creation than any in that range. This sleek-looking Compact Digital Camera features a side-tilting, touch-sensitive 3-inch LCD screen and a built-in directional microphone, so it is one of the best vlogging cameras available. It also has an accessory shoe, microphone input and compatibility with Sony's excellent VPT2BT grip for anyone that needs to take their content creation to the next level. On the imaging front, the ZV-1 is home to a large 1-inch CMOS sensor with 20.1MP resolution and proven BIONZ X image processor, great for stills and for video, which can be captured in 4K resolution and is kept smooth thanks to Sony's SteadyShot Active Stabilisation system.
The new Sony ZV-1 is an advanced compact camera that borrows the imaging quality and appearance from Sony's own popular X100 range and adds a host of physical elements that make it better suited to vlogging and content creation. A large 1-inch CMOS sensor with 20.1MP resolution is onboard the ZV-1, as well as a Bionz X image processor, both of which deliver exceptional still image and video quality, the latter of which is available in stunning 4K resolution. Active mode Image Stabilisation is functional during video recording, which helps to keep your videos free from bumps and blur. This sleek compact camera features a versatile zoom lens to help you frame all manner of subjects. The lens covers a 24-70mm zoom range and features a fast f1.8-2.8 maximum aperture to keep you shooting in varied lighting conditions.
In order to be better suited to content creation on the go, the portable and lightweight ZV-1 includes a side-tilting, touch-sensitive LCD screen - the fact that it tilts to the side allows you to turn the lens on yourself with greater ease. It also features a high-quality directional built-in microphone and wind screen that does a great job at capturing clean and clear audio to match the quality of the video provided, even on location. If you do require a higher quality of audio still, the Z-V1 features a microphone input for attaching external microphones, as well as an accessory shoe for attaching microphones, LED video lights and other accessories. The be suited to shooting a wide range of subjects, that are either near to or far from your lens, the Z-V1 features a speedy and accurate hybrid AF system.
The Sony Z-V1 is compatible with the useful VPT2BT grip, which helps you hold your camera steady for smooth and steady vlogging results. With the grip, the C1 function of the camera is automatically enabled, a custom function that automatically sets the camera up to produce stunning out of focus background areas. The other custom of the camera is activated by pressing the C2 button on the camera, which sets the camera up for filming things very close to the lens, which is great for unboxings and product reviews - Sony calls this function product showcase.
