Attaching the receiver to an MI interface provides cable-free digital audio transmission. This receiver is capable of up to 9 hours of battery life on MI interfaces, while 3 hours of battery life is possible on non-MI interfaces. The Sony ECM-W2BT is suitable for use on location, with a dust and moisture-resistant construction.
