Sony's flagship Mirrorless offerings keep getting classier and classier and with the Alpha A1, otherwise known as "The One", they have reached an astonishing peak. This premium Mirrorless body offers the latest and greatest in image quality of all types and unprecedented levels of performance, all in a portable body that does not betray the compact form factor that has made this Sony range such a success in recent years. Included in the camera is a 50.5MP full-frame Exmor RS BSI CMOS Sensor and BIONZ XR Processor, a combo that is excellent for stills and is also capable of 8K resolution video recording.

The Sony A1 performs its tasks at a lighting speed, with up to 30 frames per second continuous shooting available - the number is 10 frames per second when using the mechanical shutter. To keep you up to speed, the A1 features a hybrid AF system of 759 phase-detection and 425 contrast-detection points. This AF system focuses in extremely low-light conditions and other important AF features are available to help you lock onto your subject in different scenarios - this includes real-time tracking and real-time Eye AF. To keep your photos and videos smooth and free from blur, this high-achieving body includes a built-in 5-Axis SteadyShot stabilisation system - this system helps you out when shooting handheld in tricky lighting conditions, using longer focal length lenses and more.

Although it weighs in at just 737 grams and is manageable for everyday purposes as well as travel, the Sony Alpha A1 is rugged and reliable - it can travel to all corners of the globe with you. It features a magnesium alloy build and extensive sealing at various points throughout the body. A large tilting and touch-sensitive LCD screen can be found at the rear as well as a high-resolution EVF. Dual memory card slots are available to help users manage their workflows, with each slot accepting CFexpress Type A and SD-type memory cards.
