The same classic focal length is featured, paired with an ultra-bright f1.4 maximum aperture, resulting in excellent available-light performance, as well as the ability to produce beautiful, eye-catching bokeh. This Sigma prime lens has been designed to meet the resolution of modern full-frame image sensors, thanks to a brilliant optical design with 3 aspherical and 1 SLD element included in the design of 14 elements in 11 groups. The lens is just as notable for its physical prowess, with dust and splash-resistant qualities, as well as a water and oil-repellant coating on the front element of the lens.

The Sigma AF 50mm f1.4 DG DN Art includes fast and accurate autofocus, which is necessary for keeping up with modern digital cameras and their multimedia performance. This lens features a HLA linear motor, which is quick and quiet and with great tracking abilities. This lens is suitable for photographing moving subjects, working in dim lighting conditions, and much more. As a modern lens, designed for mirrorless systems, this lens has been reduced in size, making it more suitable for use in everyday situations and for travel. Although it is more portable, this Sigma lens is high in functionality, with such features as a focus mode switch, an aperture ring click switch, which enables silent aperture operation when necessary, and an AFL button for customising the lens to suit your workflow. The Sigma AF 50mm f1.4 DG DN Art also includes a physical aperture ring, so enthusiasts can enjoy adjusting their exposure and depth of field manually.
