The Ricoh GR IV Digital Camera is a compact and portable camera, specifically designed for photographers who take snapshot photography seriously. With its high-resolution APS-C format sensor, this camera captures images that far exceed what is expected of its portable size, and it excels when shooting in low-light conditions. The front of this Ricoh compact camera features a 28mm equivalent fixed focal length lens with a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture. With its shake-reduction mechanism and updated algorithm, this camera is better equipped to compensate for camera shake, allowing users to achieve sharper results. The Ricoh GR IV also includes an image control function with 12 conventional effect modes, as well as a brand new cinema mode, which delivers the vintage charm that old cinema is known for. Another highlight is the grain effect mode, which helps users to achieve film-like characteristics.

The GR IV features a newly developed 25.74-megapixel back-illuminated APS-C CMOS sensor that works in conjunction with the GR ENGINE 7 to produce images with exceptional fine detail, rich gradations, and high-sensitivity performance. This enhanced processing power not only improves the subtlety and realism of the final output but also significantly boosts the camera's responsiveness, including faster autofocus and start-up time. Want to explore the world of low-light photography? The GR IV's sensitivity range has also been expanded to a maximum of ISO 204800, one stop higher than its predecessor, thanks to a proprietary Accelerator Unit that optimally processes the high signal-to-noise ratio output from the new sensor before it is fed into the image processor.

The Ricoh GR IV has been redesigned to be more portable, with a thinner body (excluding the grip and lens section) that allows for a deeper, more natural hold. Its improved ergonomics, including a newly optimised front grip and thumb rest, make the camera feel like an extension of your body. The new GR lens maintains the series' core design philosophy while incorporating a large, high-precision, glass-molded aspherical lens as the final element. This new design effectively corrects aberrations for enhanced sharpness across the entire image, from the center to the edges. The renewed lens barrel mechanism and the strategic placement of high-refractive-index and low-dispersion glass also contribute to a thinner overall lens unit, resulting in a faster start-up time and quicker autofocus.
