This New Tamron version, the SP AF 85mm f1.8 is sure to be just as popular within this field, providing all of the qualities discussed above as well as a modern optical design keeping up with the high-resolution full-frame cameras that it is compatible with.

Large f1.8 aperture for handheld shooting and selective focus
Allowing you to move freely about the scene and not be held into one place fiddling with a tripod, this Tamron prime lens features a large f1.8 maximum aperture. Hand-held shooting is a breeze with this lens and the odds of creating tack-sharp images in low-light conditions are stacked firmly in your favour. Further benefiting portrait photographers, is the ability to explore the well-trodden path of selective focus, meaning you can throw entire backgrounds of images into a featureless blur or, stop down the aperture so more of your image is in focus - the large aperture of this Tamron lens leaves it up to you to decide what best suits your shot, and it has to ability to accommodate you easily either way.

VC Stabilisation
