The premium optical design which includes a load of Tamron‚Äôs most tried and true elements provides a high level of image quality, which is further enhanced by eBand and BBAR coatings. Suited to travel to the varied climates of the world, the Tamron 24-70mm G2 is moisture-resistant, and it includes fluorine coating for the protection of the front element.

The 24-70mm zoom range is translated to an equivalent 36-105mm when mounted on compatible APS-C DSLRs, which is a versatile range with suitability for landscapes, portraits and a range of other general-purpose applications. Further enhancing the all-around functionality of this lens is an Ultrasonic Silent Drive AF motor, which is fast and quiet in performance, able to keep up with the pace of moving subjects, and allowing you to branch out and try your hand at capturing videos.

VC image stabilisation reduces the appearance of camera shake in your images by up to 5-stops, which assures you can shoot handheld with this lens more often than not, without being overloaded with blurry pictures. The fast f2.8 maximum aperture is available throughout the zoom lens of the 24-70mm lens, which is also a benefit to handheld shooting, as well as providing you with the opportunity to explore selective focus techniques. A range of high-end elements are included to assure consistently brilliant image quality, while a solid build and resulting moisture-resistance, will allow you to enjoy this lens under all manner of environmental conditions.
