A range of high-end elements are employed to optimise image sharpness as well as portability, while physically it features a moisture-resistant construction and protective fluorine coating. In terms of operation, Tamnron have taken a number of steps in order to provide you with a pleasing user experience. A VC switch allows you to not only turn the stabiliser on or off, but also use a special mode that is specifically for panning. The Tamron AF 50-400m f4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD zoom lens includes a focus limiter, which prevents to lens from hunting too much, therefore speeding up the focus aquisition process, while a custom switch and zoom lock switch are also available.

The Tamron AF 50-400m f4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD zoom lens can be put to use for close-up purposes, with a 'half-macro' 1:2 maximum magnification ratio at the widest focal length. The lens is compatible with an optional tripod mount, it includes a connector port for Tamron Lens Utility, and it is compatible with a range of camera-specific functions and settigns, such as Eye AF.
