This Tamron zoom lens is a perfect match for everyday and travel photography with Sony's full-frame mirrorless system, thanks to its long-reaching 28-200mm zoom range, as well as a closest focus of just 19cm (at the wide end). Whether your subjects are way off in the distance or within an arms reach, this lens is able to capture them in a detailed and creative fashion. Being compatible with these high-end Sony cameras is a huge responsibility, and this Tamron zoom lens is up to the task, with a range of high-end optical elements in its design, including hybrid aspherical, glass-molded aspherical, XLD and low-dispersion. The lens has also been treated to Tamron's special BBAR anti-reflective coating. The end result is sharp and detailed images with an absence of aberrations, distortions and flaring.

With modern digital cameras being equally suitable for stills and video shooting, it is important to have a lens that can also perform both tasks. The Tamron AF 28-200mm DI III RXD is one such lens, thanks to its fast and quiet RXD stepping AF motor. The lens provides a very usable f2.8-5.6 aperture range, allowing good handheld performance and depth of field control no matter what focal length is being used. Despite this fast aperture range and long zoom, this lens is compact and lightweight in build, being suitable for everyday and travel purposes.
