The Sony HVL-F46RM Bounce Flash is an excellent new flash, which is portable in size, yet powerful and functional in performance. This flash features a guide number of 46 and covers a 24-105mm zoom range. Users from all backgrounds can use this handy flash to maximise the imaging potential of their Sony Mirrorless camera. Other improvements found in this new Sony product include a fast continuous shooting performance of up to 60 times at 10 frames per second, as well as high-speed sync at up to 1/400th of a second when paired with the powerful Sony Alpha A1. An advanced flash unit, the HVL-F46RM functions as an on-camera flash, radio wireless commander or receiver.

The flash control is linked to the face detection AF of select Sony cameras, which provides more accurate exposure metering. This flash also notably allows for the automatic adjustment of recorded white balance, based on the flash output. Important flash settings can be controlled from your camera, while important functions can be assigned to the unit's four-way controller for faster recall. The Sony HVL-F46RM features an updated metal shoe foot with rugged side frame, which provides greater impact protection, while the improved shoe sealing also improves dust and moisture-resistance, when used on select Sony cameras.
