The SmallRig Multifunctional Modular Matte Box is a professional-grade solution designed to eliminate glare and flare when shooting with mirrorless cameras and compatible lenses. This versatile system gives you precise control over exposure and image quality, whilst maintaining your chosen depth of field across changing light conditions.

Built around a modular design, the matte box breaks down quickly for fast setup and transport. The kit arrives with four threaded adapter rings (67mm, 72mm, 77mm, and 82mm to 95mm) that work with standard circular filters including VND, GND, and CPL types, making it compatible with most DSLR lenses and 95mm cinema lenses. The included VND filter kit lets you adjust exposure on the fly without shifting your depth of field.

The 4x5.65" aluminium alloy filter frame features an anti-off design to keep filters secure and your hands clean. A carbon fibre top flag opens to a full 180 degrees for maximum glare control, and the magnetic lens hood attaches and removes in seconds. Despite its professional capabilities, the entire system is engineered from lightweight magnesium alloy and carbon fibre to keep your rig balanced and portable.

Ultra-wide-angle shooting is supported from 16mm focal lengths with zero vignetting. Additional accessories like side flags and dual rod support are available separately to customise your setup further.
