With this long-reaching zoom range you are best poised for fast and easy snaps of a variety of subjects, which is the quintessential quality that Sports and Wildlife photographers are looking for in their equipment. This lens is compatible with full-frame cameras, but it can also be mounted on APS-C format models, on which it provides an astonishing 75-750mm equivalent zoom range

Experienced users will be wary of this huge magnification due to inevitable blur that can come with it. Thanks to the built-in optical stabiliser, this is less of an issue with the Sigma 50-500mm lens, as it corrects this blur by up to 4 stops. The HSM AF system provides a suitable speedy quality of autofocus performance, so you can keep up with your subjects as they race across the track, or the open plains. Sigma have included four Special Low Dispersion elements in the construction of this lens, which does an excellent job at reducing the common issue of chromatic aberrations, while super multi-layer coating has been given the equally important task of reducing flare and ghosting.
