As a part of Sigma's Sports line, it boasts exceptional build quality and durability, making it a reliable choice for professional photographers.

With an advanced optical design featuring 19 elements in 14 groups, including two FLD and two SLD glass elements, the Sigma Sports 200 f2 lens masterfully corrects common telephoto lens issues like chromatic aberration. The result is exceptionally high optical performance, providing finely detailed and high-resolution images from the center to the edges of the frame, even when shooting wide open at F2. This large aperture, which lets in twice the light of an F2.8, combined with the 200mm focal length's compression effect, creates a gorgeous bokeh that beautifully isolates your subject. This unique expression, along with its superior image quality, makes it ideal for capturing impressive and striking portraits.

This lens is designed to deliver exceptional image quality in any condition, thanks to a focus on eliminating lens artefacts. Using advanced simulation technology, flare and ghosting have been largely suppressed, ensuring you get rich, high-contrast images. Sigma's Nano Porous Coating and Super Multi-Layer Coating have also been applied to the lens elements, further reducing unwanted reflections and improving clarity. For fast and precise focusing, the Sigma Sports 200mm F2 lens features an HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) motor, which provides high-speed and accurate autofocus.

This Sigma lens also boasts powerful optical Stabilisation with Sigma‚Äôs OS2 algorithm, which provides up to a remarkable 6.5 stops of image stabilisation. It comes with two distinct OS modes: Mode 1 for general shooting, and Mode 2, which is perfect for panning shots. The Intelligent OS in Mode 2 can effectively stabilise the image even when you're moving the camera diagonally, allowing you to capture a subject's motion without sacrificing the panning effect. Built to withstand the elements, the lens body is coated with a thermal insulation paint to prevent overheating in direct sunlight, and its dust and splash-resistant structure protects all joints and rings. The front element also has a water and oil-repellent coating for easy cleaning.
