The Sigma 17mm F4 DG DN C is an ultra-wide compact prime lens, great for landscapes and similar wide scoping purposes, and it also happens to be portable and lightweight, so it will come in very handy for travel photography. This lens has an impressive closest focus of just 12cm, opening up the creative possibilities of the lens, while a fast f4 maximum aperture lets in heaps of light for low-light purposes, as well as depth of field control.
The Sigma 17mm F4 DG DN C lens offers a premium optical design with 2 SLD glass elements and 3 Aspherical lens elements used. This means you can expect sharpness and clarity at all settings, while aberrations and distortions are corrected. The multi-layer coatings of the lens result in reduced ghosting and lens flare, as well as exceptional levels of colour accuracy and contrast performance. The build quality of this Sigma prime lens is impressive, notable for its portability, as well as its all-metal design that is not only attractive but also sturdy. The Sigma 17mm F4 DG DN C lens features inner focus, so it retains portability during use and allows for the use of circular polarising filters, while the stepping AF motor allows the lens to focus both quickly and quietly, so video shooting is also supported.
