Built to accommodate cameras up to 6.3 inches tall, whether gripped or not, this core unit features an extended interior perfect for longer telephoto lenses and oversized gear.

Quick side access means your camera is always within reach when mounted in compatible Shimoda backpacks. The large unit works seamlessly with the Action X40, X50, Explore 35, Action X70, Carry-On, and DV roller cases. For even greater capacity in larger packs, you can stack a small core unit on top for additional storage.

Protection is built in through EVA foam walls, dividers, and an internal frame that maintains structure and prevents sagging under the weight of your equipment. The included removable water-resistant skin serves double duty: seal and protect your gear when stored at home, or use it as a packing cell to carry clothing and other items within your backpack.
