The optical construction of this lens far exceeds expectations and the pictures that it produces are sharp and detailed. Suitable for the high-performance full frame Sony cameras, this lens can also be used on the APS-C models, where it provides the equivalent focal length of 75mm.

Designed for the full-frame Sony E-mount cameras, this Samyang lens provides an affordable alternative that helps you delve into that brilliant Compact System range. The Samyang 50mm f1.4 UMC II lens offers a ‘normal’ focal length that is ideal for everyday shots, portraits, travel and more. When used on an APS-C format body the equivalent focal length of 75mm is excellent for producing tightly-cropped portraits. A bright f1.4 maximum aperture ensures that you capture plenty of light, which means sharper pictures in low-light conditions. It also means you have the utmost control over the depth of field in your image, deciding how much or how little of your picture is in focus and what details are blurred out for dramatic effect.

The optical construction of this compact lens includes 1 Aspherical and 1 hybrid Aspherical element to minimise the appearance of chromatic aberrations. It also delivers consistently sharp and clear images. Flare and ghosting is well maintained by the Ultra Multi-Coating which has been applied to the lens.

The Samyang 50mm f1.4 lens has 8 diaphragm blades, which means the out of focus areas that you produce thanks to the excellent depth of field control are eye-catching and dreamlike. This humble lens will launch your portraits to a whole new level.
