By holding your Pentax 17 in the normal and natural way, you will capture vertical images, which will be familiar to smartphone users. The Pentax 17 camera is great for those who enjoy manual operation, with manual focusing and manual film advance being highlights, as well as an ISO dial and exposure compensation dial. This half frame film camera includes a versatile 25mm focal length fixed lens at the front, which is equivalent to a 37mm field of view, while the f3.5 maximum aperture is good for depth of field purposes and available light shooting.

The Pentax 17 35mm Half Frame camera has seven different shooting modes to choose from, so you can equip yourself to capture any situation. These modes include Full Auto, Slow-speed sync, Bulb and more. The Pentax 17 can focus on any subject using the effective zone focus system, which gives you 6 different zones to choose from, from close-up to long-distance; you just choose the appropriate zone manually. Using the Albada-type viewfinder, users of the Pentax 17 can confirm the framing of their subject expertly, with a close-up visual field compensation frame included for Macro work.
