This lens features a noticeably slim profile, so it allows you to travel comfortably as well as maintain discretion as you walk city streets, at home or abroad. The first thing you will notice when looking at this Nikon lens is its classic retro design, which is a perfect match for the new classic-inspire Nikon Z fc mirrorless camera. The maximum f2.8 aperture of the lens lets in enough light for you to shoot handheld in most circumstances, while the 28mm focal length is great for street photography, landscapes and much more.

When mounted on DX-format mirrorless cameras, like the Nikon Z fc, this lens provides a 42mm equivalent focal length, which is good for general purpose photography. As well as a smooth and comfortable focus ring, this compact Nikon lens features a fast and accurate AF system that is suitable for both still and video shooting - this is a result of the dual stepping AF motors. A custom control ring is available, which users can assign to control important settings such as aperture, ISO and exposure compensation. The optical performance of this lens is excellent, thanks to the use of an Aspherical lens element, as well as Nikon's super integrated lens coating, which assures high levels of contrast and colour accuracy, and reduced ghosting, flare and internal reflections.
