The wide-angle to short-telephoto zoom range of this is suitable for landscapes, snapshots, portraits, and everything in between, while the constant f2.8 aperture allows you to experiment with depth of field at all focal lengths, and do most of your shooting without any additional support. This handheld shoot-ability is extended by the inclusion of a VR stabiliser, putting a stop to camera shake by up to 4-stops. For the modern DSLR user who swaps between still and video shooting with relative frequency, an SWM AF system provides autofocus that is suitably fast and quiet.
