This Gitzo series 1 traveler tripod is great for macro photography and other applications, thanks to its ability for the centre column to be removed and reversed and the minimum working distance of just 24cm. A ballast hook can be found at the bottom of the centre column, so a sandbag or similar can be hung to the tripod for extra stability. The Series 1 Traveler Centre ball head on this tripod includes a unique quick-release system, which accepts both Gitzo C-profile plates, and Arca-type compatible plates, and allows a camera to be added to the tripod, quickly and easily from above.
