This Canon EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 IS lens proves that they can, bringing a premium level of quality and performance, to the versatile standard zoom range. Made for smaller APS-C format Canon EOS DSLRs, this lens provides a 27.2-88mm equivalent range, which is suitable for all of your daily shooting, from scenery to people pictures. Thanks to a wonderful optical construction, which includes three aspherical and two ultra-low dispersion elements, image sharpness and clarity is at a high throughout, while common defects are well-maintained. This quality is further emphasised thanks to the inclusion of Super Spectra Coating.

No matter what your model happens to be on any given day, the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 lens is able to handle it with speed and elegance, thanks to the built-in UltraSonic motor. Camera shake wonâ€™t be knocking on your door any time soon, with Canonâ€™s wonderful Optical Image Stabiliser providing up to 3 stops of shake reduction. The handheld shootability is extended with a constant f2.8 maximum aperture, with this feature also allowing you to explore selective focus techniques in your images.
