A compact and lightweight prime lens, the Olympus 60mm f2.8 Macro lens is perfect for pairing with your Micro Four Thirds camera for close-up shots of small subjects. The longer focal length provided by the lens when mounted on these smaller format cameras will allow you a tighter crop on your subjects, without you having to get too close which is further benefited by the closest focus distance of just 0.19m. The maximum aperture of f2.8 means you can open the lens right up and shoot these subjects comfortably without a tripod, and the shallow depth of field created means backgrounds are featureless and non-distracting, so for once, the little guys (bugs and insects) are the real star of the show.

Perfect for use out in the field, either abroad or in your own backyard, the 60mm f2.8 is rugged and reliable, thanks to its splash and dustproof design. Pay no mind to the oncoming shower or the dusty conditions as this lens is game if you are. If your subjects are on the go or you wish to capture them in videos as well as stills this lens is up to the task, the Movies and stills compatible autofocus performing quickly and quietly, so as not to distract your subject or your viewers on video playback.
