This 35mm f1.8 S is one of these new lenses, its proven wide focal length being a traditional favourite for landscape, street and documentary applications. The 35mm focal length finds that sweet spot that is not wide enough to create a disconnect with your subject but provides plenty of scope for you to fit the whole scene into your frame. A bright f1.8 maximum aperture lets in plenty of light, providing longer hours of handheld shooting, a feature which is further enhanced by the built-in VR of the new Z-series bodies.

Perfect for the modern photographer, who strays from the constraints of sticking to one shooting style, the Nikon Z 35mm f1.8 S includes a stepping AF motor, which is the focus system that dreams are made of. Autofocus is fast, accurate, making it an ideal choice for capturing stealthy stills and smooth and undisturbed videos. Staying as compact as possible when in use, this lens focuses internally, while full-time manual focus is available for those moments when you want to provide a little assistance in locating the desired focal point.
