Canon EOS R3 Body Only

The Canon EOS R3 is the new flagship model in the popular Canon EOS R mirrorless range. As well as a newly designed back-illuminated image sensor, this camera is notable for its fast and reliable shooting performance, as well as its pro-grade body design. As well as brilliant still images, which are evident throughout the broad 50-204800 ISO Range (Expanded), the Canon EOS R3 is an excellent option for video recording, with 6K Raw video capture on offer, as well as DCI/UHD 4K video recording. The 4K footage is exceptional in appearance, thanks to being downsampled. This camera can be used in more advanced video editing workflows with both microphone and headphone ports available, and unlimited recording times for users to work with.

The Canon EOS R3 is suitable for advanced sports photographers, thanks to its continuous shooting rate of up to 30 frames per second, when using the electronic shutter. The AF speeds on offer are more than capable of making the most of this blistering pace, with an updated dual pixel CMOS AF II system available, which includes 1053 AF points covering the entire sensor area. This AF system is not just exciting for its potential in terms of speed and accuracy, but also its ability to find focus in very dark conditions. Eye Control AF is now available, a feature that allows the user the determine the focal point simply by looking through the viewfinder, while throughout this advanced performance you can be sure that your shots remain free from blur; this is thanks to the advanced 5-AXIS image stabilisation system which provides up to 8-stops of protection from blur.

The Canon EOS R3 Mirrorless camera includes both a high-resolution 5.76M dot EVF and a 3.2-inch vari-angle touch LCD screen for image framing and accurate reviewing of images. The EVF notably features no blackout when using the electronic shutter, which is another bonus for sports photographers. The build of this body is sturdy and reliable, with weather-sealing allowing the camera to be used in outdoor conditions and an integrated vertical grip providing comfort during vertical shooting. This larger grip design also makes the camera compatible with the large-capacity LP-E19 battery - this obviously enhances shooting times with the camera. Dual memory card slots are available in the EOS R3 (1x CFexpress 1x UHS-II SD), as are a range of connectivity options, including WiFi, Bluetooth and Ethernet. In another improvement, this camera features an updated advanced accessory shoe, which finds it compatible with a range of select accessories.
