Get ready for video, like you've never seen it
The new Canon EOS C50 is a powerhouse for video, thanks to its 7K full-frame CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV7 processor. This combination enables breathtaking 4K image quality through 7K oversampling, with support for both full-frame and Super 35mm modes. The C50 is also the first Cinema EOS camera to offer Open Gate Recording, which uses the entire sensor area for a wider angle of view and higher resolution. This gives filmmakers more freedom to frame and trim their shots in post-production. Additionally, its Cinema RAW Light recording mode captures ultra-high-resolution, detailed footage with smaller file sizes and a simplified workflow, making professional-grade RAW recording more accessible.

Beyond its resolution, the C50's impressive dynamic range is supported by the inclusion of both Canon Log 2 and Canon Log 3. While Canon Log 2 offers a wider dynamic range of up to 16 stops, Canon Log 3 is a great option for simpler workflows due to its cleaner noise profile. The camera also supports two base ISO levels, 800 and 6400, allowing it to perform optimally in both bright and low-light conditions. An "Auto Selection" mode further simplifies this by automatically switching between the two base ISOs to maintain the best signal-to-noise ratio.
