This coating is best equipped for tackling flare and ghosting, while it is also able to combat reductions in contrast, leading to images that are notable for their clarity and crispness.

Perhaps the most significant draw-card of this lens is its large f2.8 maximum aperture, which is constant throughout the zoom range. This large aperture lets in plenty of light, so you can shoot at faster shutter speeds in order to trap fast-moving subjects in their tracks.
