Second is the fast constant f2.8 aperture, leaving you well-equipped to handle low light shooting without the need of a tripod or flash as well as producing beautiful out of focus areas, for adding that crucial finishing touch on your images.

In fitting with the L series range that this zoom lens is a part of, the 24-70mm f2.8L II is solidly built, resulting in it being dust and drip-proof. This sturdy construction does nothing to diminish its portability with the lens in fact being smaller and lighter than the previous incarnation.

Compatible with full-frame and APS-C format Canon Digital SLR cameras, the 24-70mm features a silent and fast Ultrasonic motor, driving the autofocus along nicely for use capturing both stills and videos.
