This new IS has 3 different modes to allow for different shooting conditions and can improve performance by up to 4 stops. This advantage can be felt when shooting in conditions of low light and when photographing fast-moving subjects. This extra stability allows for confident hand-held shooting and will be appreciated by the fast-paced shooters that are drawn to this lens
