    With Ted's Cinematic Storytelling with Sony, learn everything you could ever need to know to generate your own film idea and produce it from script to screen.

    By the end of this all-inclusive class, feel confident in each stage of film development, from pre-production, production, post-production and what happens next.

    Learn from skilled film-makers who have created their own successful film works, and learn their processes behind script writing, directing, editing, cinematography, casting, lighting and networking. All while having exclusive access to Sony's latest Cinema Line Cameras and Sony G Master lenses and additional equipment supplied on the day by Rode Australia and Manfrotto Australia.

    What to expect from this event:

    Learn industry secrets - have shared tips and tricks from those who work in the film industry, including networking tips, career advances and film festival advice.

    Be your own filmmaker - use Sony's Cinema Line cameras to experience filming your own short film scene, direct a working actor and have your say in the editing process with Da Vinci Resolve.

    Understand production flow - from the conceptualisation of the idea, to the screenplay, to production and what follows, learn about each stage of the film making process.

    Gain the confidence to make your own film - learn the skills necessary to have the confidence to step into many different film roles - including script writer, director, cinematographer and editor. By the end of the course, have the knowledge required to make your very own film.

    Access to Sony's Cinema Line - get hands on experience with Sony's FX-30, FX-2, FX-3 and FX-6 in a simulated short film set.

    Meet other filmmakers - Network and connect with other film makers, work in small teams to shoot a unique scene.

    Learn shooting techniques - see real-time cinematography techniques, streamed directly from camera.

    Direct like a pro - learn how to direct an actor and see this in action with a real actor in a scene.

    Additionally, get hands on with awesome gear from Manfrotto Australia who will be providing camera support equipment and Rode Australia will be providing Audio Solutions on the day.

    What you will learn:

    • The future of film is bright, what's coming up for the film industry in Australia, WA's glowing film future, new age of technology, new initiatives, the importance of film

    • Learn all the steps of pre-production to have a successful film production (script/story, prod design, sourcing crew/actors, buying vs hiring equipment/where, location sourcing + permits)

    • Create a professional film production in a multitude of roles (cinematography, directing, lighting, audio)

    • Discover the power of post production: make your film shine with editing techniques and get your film in front of the right people with knowledge of festivals, portfolios and networking

    • Gain practical film experience: work with an actor, network with like-minded film makers, use professional equipment, create a short scene

    What to bring:

    • There is strictly no sharing of demonstrational products - if you are allocated any demonstrational products to try, you must hand these back to your workshop trainer for cleaning before they can be given to another customer
