As well as a versatile wide zoom range, this lens includes a fast constant aperture for depth of field control and low-light shooting, as well as Vibration Compensation stabilisation, which drastically reduces camera shake.

This Tamron zoom lens features a high-end optical design, which includes an XGM (eXpanded Glass Molded Aspherical) lens element, resulting in edge to edge sharpness throughout the zoom range. Both BBAR and eBAND coatings have been applied, working together to combat the appearance of ghosting and flare. The Tamron 15-30mm f2.8 Di VC USD lens features a rugged moisture-sealed construction as well as fluorine coating to allow the lens to be used confidently in the elements.
