The supreme optical design of this lens includes a range of high-performance lens elements, resulting in a consistent level of corner-to-corner sharpness, and a reduction of distortions, fringing and aberrations. Whether your subjects are posing, or on the move, this lens can easily keep up with them thanks to the HyperSonic motor, while being constructed from Thermally Stable Composite material, the 105mm f1.4 Art lens is at once lightweight and rugged.

The Sigma 105mm f1.4 HSM Art lens, is a solid workhorse of a lens, with design features that firmly place it in line with the needs of portrait photographers. These features include a flattering short-telephoto focal length, which allows tightly-cropped head and shoulder images without you having to get too close to your model, and an ultra-bright f1.4 maximum aperture and its wonderful depth of field control. Typical of the Art range, this lens utilises various high-quality elements, to produce premium images with maximum resolution, and a noticeable absence of common imaging defects.

Although a rugged lens, with dust and moisture-resistance, the Sigma 105mm f1.4 Art is manageable and lightweight, which is due to its construction of Thermally Stable Composite materials. As well as the weather-resistance, which comes from rubber sealing in the mount, this lens has received a protective coating to prevent damage to the surface elements. Super multi-layer coating has also been applied, to provide good levels of contrast and colour accuracy, and a reduction of flare and ghosting. Good for finding accurate focus of a variety of subjects, the 105mm Art lens includes a HyperSonic motor, which performs in a fast and quiet manner.
