The Canon EOS R body provides powerful EOS shooting in a portable package. This slim and stylish body incorporates all of the features that we have grown to love in Canon's wonderful DSLR range, but in a more travel-friendly body. Internally the Canon EOS R features a 30.3MP full-frame CMOS sensor and DIGIC 8 processor, which deliver stunning image quality in a wide range of shooting conditions. This camera can focus on any subject quickly and accurately, thanks to its amazing 5655-point AF system. Dual Pixel CMOS AF is also available, meaning the autofocus of this camera is great for speedy still photography, as well as video capture, which the EOS R can do in 4K resolution.
The Canon EOS R is fit for all manner of shooting, with 8 frames continuous shooting even allowing the camera to be used for sports and similar fast-moving applications. This figure becomes 5 frames per second when using continuous AF mode. To help you frame your photos and videos, the Canon EOS R body includes a 3.2-inch variangle touch-screen as well as a high-resolution EVF. An OLED panel can be found on the top of this portable camera, which provides a fast readout of critical information.
