Panasonic Lumix S1
Joining a host of other manufacturers in the bid to create professional-level mirrorless options, Panasonic have introduced two full-frame mirrorless cameras, this model being the Lumix S1. Utilising the existing Leica SL-mount, you can use these previously released premium-quality optics with your new body, or pick up one of a select few new lumix lenses which have also been announced. Internally, the S1 features a full-frame 24MP CMOS sensor, which is capable of capturing the world around you in the most exceptional detail imaginable, while with this model being the most content-creator-friendly body, it is also superb at shooting videos, in 4K/60P resolution.
A rugged and ready body, the Panasonic Lumix S1 is made of magnesium alloy, resulting in weather-resistant qualities, while its reliable shutter is rated to 400,000 cycles. As well as an ergonomically designed body with well-thought-out button placement, the S1 proves to be an exceptional handheld model, with built-in image stabilisation, and the possibility of Dual I.S with compatible lenses. As well as a large and bright electronic viewfinder, the S1 includes a versatile double-hinged LCD screen for you to compose and playback your results, while important information can be quickly accessed via the camera’s top LCD panel.
