Sony A6500 - A Class-leading, APS-C E-Mount body
Sony have updated their APS-C E-Mount series with a new top of the line model, the A6500. This new addition features the same slimline style body as it's siblings as well as access to the growing range of high-quality E-Mount lenses, but one look at the specifications will prove that the A6500 is an exciting new release.
At the heart of the A6500 is a 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor, notable for its unique copper wiring, resulting in decreased noise, which is evident throughout the 100-25600 ISO range. A newly developed BIONZ X image processor is included, adding to the low light performance prowess as well as maintaining the camera's speedy operating speeds. This fast performance ricochets throughout the A6500’s specification sheet, with 11 frames per second continuous shooting and 425-point phase detection autofocus helping you to tackle the fastest of subjects.
Built-in 5-axis SteadyShot Image Stabilisation provides the stability that no steady hand could provide, allowing you to explore slower shutter speeds when necessary without the appearance of camera shake. You are covered for 5 types of movement, meaning your images will be consistently sharp and clear, as well as your videos - which can be recorded in UHD 4K resolution.
The A6500’s body is at once compact and durable, constructed from sturdy magnesium alloy and benefiting from dust and moisture resistance. To compose your images you are spoilt for choice, with both a 2.36-million dot electronic viewfinder and a large, bright 3 Inch tilting LCD screen, that is also touch sensitive for the quick and easy changing of numerous settings.
