Like the original Sigma FP, the new exciting FP-L is notable for its portable, modular design, which will slot nicely into any video making workflow. Where this camera sets itself apart is its resolution; the Sigma FP-L features a 61MP full-frame image sensor. The same handy accessories can be used with this new mirrorless body and the camera is virtually identical in size, but as well as the increased resolution, this camera features an updated AF system which will suit photographers and videographers alike.
The Sigma FP-L is a full-frame Mirrorless camera with a brand new 61MP full-frame sensor at the helm. Home to the wonderful L-Mount, this camera body can be paired with a range of brilliant lenses, for users to make the most of the camera's premium photo and video recording performance. While the original Sigma FP was geared mostly towards video lovers, this FP-L will appeal to both photo and video lovers, thanks to the increased resolution. The improved hybrid phase and contrast-detection AF system is fast and accurate in performance, so users can enjoy the 4K video recording and blistering 10 frames per second continuous shooting to its full potential.
The Sigma FP-L is the world's smallest and lightest interchangeable lens full-frame camera available, and it is part of a modular system, with a range of handy accessories available for getting the most out of the camera; this includes a brand-new detachable EVF (not included with body only kit). In terms of video performance, the FP-L can record up to 4K30p resolution files internally, while a range of high-end options are available when connecting to external devices, including 10 or 12-bit CinemaDNG Raw video to SSD, and RAW video streams over HDMI. Sigma's Directors Viewfinder is once again available, helping you to stay one step ahead and make the right choices for the good of your work.
As mentioned, the Sigma FP-L comes alive when paired with its dedicated accessories. Standing alone, this camera weighs around 400 grams, but despite this small and light stature it is tough, with a dust and splash-proof design. A large heat sink can be found between the camera body and the LCD screen, which helps the camera to achieve longer recording times, while the three included 1/4"-20 threads are essential for attaching viewfinders, grips and other accessories to the body.
