Taking the torch from its popular predecessors and running full pelt, is this flagship Mirrorless camera from Panasonic, the Lumix GH5. If you wish to pursue cinematic endeavours, there is no more suitable camera in this class than the GH5, with the 4K resolution video now able to be captured at 50/60fps, while its still photography performance is obviously just as impressive, thanks to the 20mp digital live MOS sensor with low pass filter removed for eye-catching image quality and dynamic range. Stills and videos alike will benefit from Panasonic's 5-axis dual image stabilisation, making camera shake a not-very-missed enemy from the past, while Panasonic lifts its own game now offering 6K photos, where it previously wowed us with 4K photos.

Prepare yourself for the next level of mirrorless photography, brought to you by Panasonic and its new wonder, the Lumix GH5. Video functionality has been advanced even further in the GH5 with 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 25/30p video straight to SD card, the first in its class and 4K resolution at 50/60 frames per second; while the feature that was introduced with overwhelming success previously, 4K photo, has now been improved to 6K photo.
A 20 megapixel Live MOS sensor with low pass filter removed and Venus engine processor are responsible for the still images, which are notable for their consistent high quality and wide dynamic range. Details can be found in the brightest and dullest areas of these photographs and noise is barely visible, even when you are shooting in the dimmest conditions. Camera shake, that old enemy that ruined much of the pictures from your childhood will not be evident in pictures taken with the GH5, its built-in 5-axis Image Stabilisation enabling you to use much slower shutter speeds without any visible blur. This stabilisation system can even be combined with the optical stabiliser of selected lenses for an unprecedented level of stability - Panasonic calls this feature Dual IS 2.
The features that have been previously outlined will no doubt catch the attention of enthusiast and professional photographers and they will be impressed further when viewing the physical specifications of the camera. Shooting in harsh conditions is not a huge ask for the GH5, its rugged magnesium alloy construction resulting in splash, dust and freeze-proof qualities. Dual SD UHS-II Card slots have been included, allowing for versatile handling of large files, while the best of both worlds is on offer for image composition; a remarkably clear 0.76x 3.6 million dot OLED viewfinder and a larger than life, articulating 3.2-inch screen, which also happens to be touch sensitive.
