Quality performance and value for money.

Was seeking a pair of mid-range binos to complement my Nikon Aculon 10x50s which I primarily use for star-gazing and I wanted something for general use at the lower end of the price spectrum. Saw these, did some reading, and made a purchase. They are light, user friendly, have a wide field of view, and very clear images. Don't be put off by the use of BK7 prisms and monolayer coating because to an amateur like myself I find no difference between this combination and BaK4 prisms with multi-layered coatings used in other binos. I put that down to the Olympus optics and their use of UV filtering. A bonus is that the 8x40s are also very handy for star-gazing. A bargain.

Excellent general purpose binoculars at a great price

I can't praise these binoculars enough. Clear, bright and sharp image, excellent eye relief and adequate exit pupil make these a pleasure to use for everything from landscape to night sky viewing. Seem to be well made and 8x magnification coupled with good weight makes these ideal for hand-held use. Cannot believe that these aren't much more expensive and have no hesitation recommending these. Fantastic value for money.
