The Nikon AF-S 28mm f1.8G lens is made for Full-Frame Nikon DSLRs but it can also be mounted on DX-format cameras, on which it provides a 42mm equivalent focal length. Both Nano Crystal and Super Integrated coatings have been applied to this lens, while Aspherical elements have been used in the optical construction. The Nikon AF-S 28mm f1.8 G lens is a wide-angle prime, perfect for producing well-composed and will exposed landscape images, as well as photographs of other similarly wide applications. This is an FX-format lens, meaning it can be mounted on full-frame Nikon DSLRs, while it can also be mounted on DX-format models, on which it produces a more magnified 42mm equivalent focal length. This lens features a Silent Wave Motor, which results in quick and quiet autofocus, suitable for varied subjects and multimedia shooting.
A fast f1.8 maximum aperture makes the Nikon AF-S 28mm lens suitable for low-light shooting, as well as providing a good level of subject isolation. Included in the optical design of this lens are 2 Aspherical lens elements, which equates to sharp and detailed images, corner to corner. Also on hand for the good of image quality, is the application of both Super Integrated and Nona Crystal coatings.
