Hi I'm James and welcome to Get Teducated.

They say that the best camera is the one you've got with you, and for a lot of people this ends up not being a camera but their mobile phone. With this being the case there's plenty of accessories to help expand your phone's capabilities, so with Christmas just around the corner, let's take a look at a few of those options as potential gifts ideas.

Let's start off with an old favourite, the much loved selfie stick. The Kaiser Baas Selfie Pole mini, is compact and lightweight so you can easily hide it in a pocket or bag when you're not using it. It's also got a Bluetooth shutter button built-in, so after it's paired for the first time, it'll just work. Extends out to a total length of just over 50cm, which is about half of the "normal" size selfie sticks, but it does feel sturdier for it and is still far enough to fit plenty in the photo.

If you really just need something to keep the phone steady, Manfrotto now package their Pixi mini tripods with a mobile phone clamp included to mount your phone to this or any standard tripod. This is a really handy little accessory as it's compact and easy to carry around, but clever Manfrotto design makes this incredibly sturdy for it's size plus the legs have a slightly rounded shape so you can fold them together and use it as a grip, making it perfect for travel or vlogging type stuff.

Should you be out and about frequently, or just have a habit of dropping your phone in the toilet, you might be interested in the LifeProof iPhone cases. These are a waterproof, drop resistant case which comes in 2 varieties - One with a plastic sheet covering the screen, and the Nuud version, which just presses up against the glass of the screen to form a waterproof seal. As you'd expect, this offers the most tactile experience, but having the plastic sheet there does work well as a screen protector to keep your phone looking newer for longer.

The Olloclip was the original photo accessory for the iPhone, and still the most popular lens attachment around. This particular kit is the "Active Lens" kit which includes an ultra-wide lens adapter to fit more in your photo for great landscapes and group photos, or just selfies that can easily capture more of your outfit, as well as a telephoto adapter to double the magnification and bring a far away subject in twice as close. Alternatively, if the zoom lens doesn't sound all that useful to you, you can get a 4-in-1 kit which includes the ultra wide angle, plus 2 macro adapters so you can get those really close-up detail shots, as well as a fish-eye lens which gives you that heavy distortion effect.

Fuji instant cameras are always a big hit around Christmas time, and for good reason. Getting physical photos straight out of the camera is great fun though it comes with the downside of making the photos much harder to share, because you've only got a single copy. That's where this Fuji Instax Share SP-2 printer comes in. It lets you take your digital photos with your phone, for the easy sharing that we're all used to, and then print them wirelessly onto Fuji Instax Film for that instant gratification of having a physical print to write notes on and give your friends, or display using one of these cool little photo cubes or magnetic pegs.

Those are my top picks for Mobile Phone accessories, but of course if you still can't decide, a Ted's gift voucher is always the right choice.

That's all for now!
