Fujifilm X-T3
Sure to be a highly sought after camera amongst Fuji enthusiasts, the X-T3 is not the first of its type, In fact, it looks very similar to its predecessor. That being said, this mirrorless body features enough changes to performance to be considered a critical update. Maintained in this release is the rugged, weather-sealed body, with various dials and buttons benefitting the manual shooter in us all. What's new is a re-designed sensor, in the form of a 26MP X-trans CMOS 4, as well as a New X-Processor 4 engine. These two updates combine to provide premium levels of image-quality, that will surpass what we have previously seen in X-series cameras.
Another valued update in the X-T3 is an increase of the phase detection area, to cover 100% of the frame. This system provides fast and accurate autofocus, which extends to shooting in various lighting conditions. Thanks to the new X-processor 4 engine and new AF algorithms, the X-T3 refocuses and meters at a rapid rate when compared to previous Fuji models, which helps it to keep track of the fastest of moving subjects. This suitability so sports and action shooting extends to the cameras continuous shooting rate, which is available at 11 frames per second when using the mechanical shutter.
Taking it to the competition, the Fuji X-T3 is the most versatile video performer of any X-series camera to date. It is, thus far, the first mirrorless camera to be able to capture 4K/60p video to internal SD card. Some other videography features of note in this camera are 4K/60P 4:2:2 10bit HDMI output, and simultaneous HDMI output and video recording.
